Draft and edit documents concerning the employment relationship, such as:
- Employment agreements

- Policies prohibiting harassment and discrimination
- Tip pooling policies and agreements
- Arbitration agreements and class action waivers
Provide live training and/or develop management training materials on various issues, such as:
- How to investigate allegations of prohibited harassment
- Appropriate hiring practices
- Compliance with wage / hour laws
- I-9 compliance
- Compliance with the FMLA and other leave laws
- Compliance with the ADA and similar laws concerning disabilities
Audit your employment practices to assess areas of risk and opportunity. For example, audit your:
- Wage / hour policies and practices
- Employee handbook and policies
- Hiring materials and practices
- I-9 documentation
- Employment contracts
Provide advice and counsel concerning employment issues, such as:
- Workplace investigations of harassment and discrimination
- Employee discipline and termination
- Compliance with federal, state and city laws concerning such issues as:
- Wage / hour issues, including tip pooling, service charges, overtime, and exemptions from overtime
- Meal and rest breaks
- Disability accommodation
- Leave laws (e.g., FMLA, Seattle Paid Sick and Safe Time, etc.)
Provide advice and counsel with respect to proposed government agency action, such as:
- Develop strategies with clients to address proposed legislation and regulations
- Assist clients with submitting comments during agency rule-making process
